President Barham Salih received General Joseph Votel the Commander of the US Central Command and his accompanying delegation, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad on Sunday, February 17, 2019
His Excellency highlighted the importance of developing security and military cooperation between the two friendly countries as well as the US contribution to arming and improving the military capabilities of the Iraqi security forces.

President Barham Salih received the Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh and his accompanying delegation, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad on Tuesday, July 16, 2019.

During the meeting, they conferred about the enhancement of bilateral relations and the development of prospects for cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves the common interests.

His Excellency emphasized Iraq's stance in support for the brotherly Palestinian people to ensure a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause.

Iraqis living in the United States cast their ballots in seven states to elect their representatives in the Iraqi parliament.

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Mr. Mukdad al Sharify confirmed on April 27, 2014 that the UNHCR offices oversees opened 103 polling stations around the world to allow Iraqis living abroad to vote.

President Salih sent a letter of condolences today to the national cultural and literary community upon hearing about the tragic passing of the Secretary General of the Union of Iraqi Writers, Ibrahim al-Khayat.

In the name of Allah, most merciful and most gracious,
With heavy hearts, we are stunned to learn the tragic news about the passing of one of Iraq’s great writers and poets, Ibrahim al-Khayat.

Prime Minister Abadi and General Dempsey reviewed recent developments and progress made by Iraqi forces in the fight against ISIL.

The Prime Minister met with Iraqi business leaders and traders from the National Business Council to discuss rebuilding in Iraq.

President Salih met His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, in New York today. He began the meeting by noting the incredible resurgence of business and civic life that Iraq is experiencing.
President Salih went on to highlight the need to support hard-won stability in Iraq, and to complete the victory against terrorism through construction and development. He also noted the importance of working to develop more positive regional dynamics so as to enhance security and stability.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih met with British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab.
President Salih and UK Foreign Secretary Raab discussed Iraqi-British ties, and how best to promote these in all sectors, and where there could be implement the memorandum of understanding signed today between the two countries.

Meeting today with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, in Davos, Switzerland, President Salih emphasized that Iraq is looking forward to building productive relations and having extensive and close ties with Germany across all the fields so as to serve the interests of both friendly nations.
