Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi received in his office Commander of U.S. Central Command, General Lloyd J. Austin, along with U.S. Ambassador Stuart Jones.
His Excellency stressed the importance of increasing support for Iraqi air forces and to meet the need for training and armament to sustain the progress gained by Iraqi forces against terrorist Daesh gangs.
Prime Minister al-Abadi and General Austin discussed ways to expand military and intelligence cooperation, increase airstrikes and intensify training to enhance the victories achieved in various fronts of confrontation with Daesh.
