U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hosts Event to Honor Ambassador Faily

As part of the U.S.-Iraq Business Initiative, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted an event on July 17, 2013 honoring H.E. Ambassador Lukman Faily. The event, hosted at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Washington, DC, was held in partnership with the U.S. Business Council in Iraq.

The U.S.-Iraq Business Initiative (USIBI) is a core program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Middle East and North Africa Affairs Department. The program is a premier vehicle for dialogue and engagement between American and Iraqi business and government decision-makers.

The event included a welcome reception for Ambassador Faily, with remarks by the Vice President of U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the President of U.S. Business Council in Iraq. The Director of U.S.-Iraq Business Initiative graciously introduced Ambassador Faily.

Ambassador Faily delivered remarks, giving participants of the event full insight into the enormous trade investment opportunities that exist between Iraq and the United States.
