Dr. Al-Sahaf: National institutions work collectively in the spirit of the team to achieve the required response to return Iraqis stranded in the countries of the world and not the Foreign Ministry alone.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: We are coordinating and implementing to return the stranded, and so far we have been able to return 13,000 Iraqis from 17 countries within 66 exceptional flights, and two trips by land.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: Iraq’s embassies in the countries of the world have played a humanitarian role in responding to the Coronavirus pandemic, and we have devoted ourselves to national response diplomacy.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: We coordinated to lift the ban on Iraqi Airways to enter some European countries, and we continue our efforts to return the stranded from countries that the Iraqi Airways has not reached so far.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: We are responding to the Coronavirus pandemic with the logic of the state, and we are integrating with national authorities to achieve this.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: The media office in the Foreign Ministry worked in active communication and in presence with public opinion, and periodically announces the numbers of those infected within the members of the community in the countries of the world.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: 247 infected among the Iraqi community abroad in 22 countries, 32 deaths, and 78 cases of recovery so far.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: Iraqi embassies abroad are formally coordinating with the authorities of the host countries to provide the numbers of infected people from the community, and we do not depend on reports from the media.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: The Foreign Ministry places health security for Iraqis first, and deals with the procedures of the Diwan Command Cell 55.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: The Iraqi embassies around the world are following with interest the conditions of the Iraqi community to determine their safety, hotlines are assigned to respond to their pleas, and the Iraqi missions provide periodic briefings to the Ministry headquarters.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: We express our gratitude to the governments of Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, and the European Union Mission in Baghdad for granting licenses to Iraqi Airways for returning Iraqi stranded citizens.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: Fraternal and friendly countries that provided Iraq with financial and medical assistance include : the State of Kuwait, Jordan, the Netherlands, and China.
