Foreign Minister Congratulates his Emirati Counterpart on the Occasion of Electing UAE as a Non-Permanent Member of the UNSC

Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, made a phone call to his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to congratulate him on the occasion of the election of the UAE as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the period 2022-2023.
He pointed out that the UAE has, by merit, gained the world’s confidence in its foreign policy, and has set a diplomatic model to follow in strengthening relations between countries and peoples.
He emphasized the need for joint action and coordinating efforts in international forums and called for strengthening joint action to face the sensitive challenges in the region.

For his part, Sheikh Al Nahyan, expressed his appreciation to the Republic of Iraq for its supportive stances for the UAE in all international forums.
At the end of the phone call, Sheikh Al Nahyan extended an invitation to Mr. Hussien to visit the UAE in the near future. Mr. Hussien thanked him for this kind invitation and promised to make it happens in the nearest convenience.
