His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has received The United States Institute of Peace's delegation headed by the Institute's president Nancy Lindborg.
The delegation has commended the victories achieved against Daesh's and liberation of the land of Iraq from terrorism, as well as the Government's plan to repatriate large numbers of IDP's to their liberated areas, indicating that it was an important achievement that we did not expect to be done in that flexible manner.
Dr. Haider al-Abadi has confirmed the importance of community reconciliation, which implemented after the liberation of any territory; Indicating that there are small elements trying to block this peace in the community, the government is working to address this matter, pointing out that these communities coexist in a proper manner. His Excellency has reaffirmed that citizens have great confidence in the security services.
His Excellency has added that our message to the blocs is that we fought together and urging them to work together for reconstruction, pointing out the importance of conducting elections in time in order to preserve the sovereignty of the Constitution, This is what we have been working on and we did set election time.
The delegation has reaffirmed that through studies and information gathering on the situation in Iraq, it was found that there is optimism by people, confidence in the Prime Minister, the security services and now people are looking for economic reform and a "cross-sectarian" comprehensive political system.
