His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has confirmed that we have not been able to win a victory without our fight against corruption. There is a relationship between the corrupt and terrorism, we did restore our country, our land and our citizens, we affirm our determination to protect public money and our responsibility to protect it, each one working from his position, His Excellency has added in his speech in the opening of the Sixth Ministerial Conference of the Arab Network for the Promotion of Integrity and Combating Corruption: We will not hesitate to open any file of corruption, whether the defendant this or that person, the corruptors did know very well the seriousness of the work we do and its dangers for them.
His Excellency Dr. Al-Abadi has said: The lack of distribution of wealth in a fair manner is kind of a corruption and it is not a proper for few to have the wealth of the public, Stressing that we need a revolution to protect public money and achieve social justice and cannot fight corruption by traditional methods, Calling for an entirely a new method of fighting against corruption, pointing out that it is not fair to reduce the steps we have taken to reduce the size of corruption, There are thousands of investigation files opened in large cases and many of the accused have been referred for investigation and integrity, those cases have been sentenced to different verdicts.
He has reassured the need for citizens to cooperate and that each citizen bears responsibility for detecting and reporting corruption, assisting investigative committees and to strengthen citizen confidence in regulatory and investigative bodies.
