Relations between Iraq and Russia on Sidelines of Rome Med-2018

President of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Barham Salih received at his residence in Rome the Russian Foreign Minister Mr. Sergei Lavrov in the presence of Foreign Minister Mohamed A. Alhakim.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and means of developing them to serve the security and stability of the region, as well as discussing the overall developments in the Middle East, especially Russian support for Iraq in its war against Daesh terrorists gangs and the future role of Russian companies wishing to enter the Iraqi market to contribute to the reconstruction of infrastructure of the areas affected by terrorism.
