The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that Iraq rejects the principle of the siege on any country which harms the basic level of its people in all its social strata. Iraq also reminds the neighboring countries of Iran to stand by its side in the crises, stressing on that harm is inflicted on one country, will affect the whole area.
At the same time, the ministry praises the position of the Islamic Republic with Iraq in its fight against terrorism and its support for it. It calls on the international community to exert pressure to discourage the US administration from continuing these sanctions, as its negative reflection will be great on Iraq and the whole region in economic and social terms as it is considered An important geographic neighborhood.
