Foreign Minister Excellency Mohamed A. Alhakim received a phone call from his Turkish counterpart Excellency Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu congratulating him on his role as Foreign Minister in the new Iraqi government, stressing Turkey's keenness to develop bilateral relations and his readiness to cooperate fully with Minister Alhakim.
On his part, Minister Alhakim thanked the Turkish Minister for congratulating him and stressed his readiness to work to develop relations between Baghdad and Ankara for the good of the two countries and the two friendly peoples.
The two ministers stressed the importance of continuing to work on holding the Iraqi-Turkish joint committee in the near future and include ambitious and important orientations that will improve future relations between the two countries.
