The meeting, attended by several members of the Iraqi Parliament from the official Iraqi delegation, focused on enhancing bilateral relations and advancing mutual interests.

THE PRESIDENT MEETS WITH NATO SECRETARY GENERAL, JENS STOLTENBERG

President Salih received today at his residence in Davos NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg. The two leaders discussed the last decision of the Council of Representatives on the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq, stressed the importance of respecting Iraq's sovereignty and its independent decision.
Developments of the security situation, in addition to the necessity of uprooting terrorism and supporting security and stability in Iraq and the region, have been reviewed by the two sides.

Statement: Foreign Ministry Rejects Bombing that Targeted Koya Sengaq In Erbil

The Foreign Ministry affirms Iraq's keenness on the security of its neighbors and its refusal to use its territory to threaten the security of those countries. It rejects the violation of Iraqi sovereignty by bombing any target within Iraqi territory without prior coordination with the Iraqi authorities to spare civilians the effects of such operations.

MOFA Condemns Terrorist Act Tried to Target Holy Shrine in Mecca

"Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns and denounces the terrorist act that tried to target the Holy Shrine in Mecca. The ministry asserts Iraq's solidarity with fraternal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against the terrorist gangs that targets its security and stability.

Such attacks reveal the deviation of the ideology of these gangs, which adopt radical terrorist approach, driving them to attack the most Holiest Shrines in Ramadan. A thing that requires exerting further efforts so as to uproot terrorism's sources of support and finance, and its ideological hotbeds."

The resolution contains strong elements, adopted for the first time to send a UN team to monitor elections in Iraq.
