The U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted a farewell reception on Thursday May 26th 2013 honoring His Excellency Lukman Faily Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United State. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Iraq Director expressed his appreciation for the support of H.E. Ambassador Faily in developing the business partnership of both countries. The event included a farewell speech from H.E. Ambassador Faily to the business community upon ending his tenure by thanking the support of the chamber and its members, confirming that Iraq will continue to welcome U.S.

The process of forming the Iraqi government according to the Iraqi constitution:

Ambassador Nazar Al Khirullah met with Denise Onsell and Aisling Kiernan, two representatives of the American Merck Health Services Company, which recently signed an MOU with the Iraqi Ministry of Health. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation in health domain and reduce medicines that do not stick to international standards and of unreliable origins.

The Embassy participated in the ceremony of receiving the 1st “Boeing 787” out of (10) Dreamliner aircrafts according to contract concluded between Iraq & US. The ceremony was attended by representatives of Iraqi Airways, the Civil Aviation Authority and the Boeing Company. ...

"We need and will rebuild Iraq; and we will turn the page on such horrific actions as the massacre and genocide at Halabja," said Ambassador Lukman Faily during a commemoration event at the U.S. Capitol.

Several countries in the world have witnessed infections with the Coronavirus, and the government has taken a number of preventive measures to preserve the safety of Iraqi citizens and to prevent the spread of this virus in Iraq.

President Barham Salih discussed with Mr. Mike Pompeo the US Secretary of State the latest developments on the political and security situation in the country and the region, at the Presidential office in Baghdad, today, Wednesday, January 9, 2019.
The President stressed the need to pursue the language of constructive dialogue among all parties to achieve security and peace, and ease tension and instability in both Arab and regional arenas, and to strengthen international and regional cooperation to end extremism and defeat terrorism once and for all.
