Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim received a phone call from Lord Ahmed of Wimbledon, Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs, and the United Nations at the British Foreign Office.

The two sides also discussed the British economic support to Iraq, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Baghdad and London to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim received a phone call from Egyptian Foreign Minister Mr. Sameh Shoukry. The two sides discussed the most important issues at the local level, and the necessity of activating the common interests between the two countries.

The two sides agreed to continue consultations and bilateral coordination on Arab and regional issues in order to find political approaches that contribute to defusing tensions and maintaining the security of the region.

he President received today at the Presidential Office, Democratic Member of U.S. Senate from Wisconsin, Sen. Tammy Baldwin alongside the delegation accompanied her. United States Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Matthew Tueller, attended the meeting.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Adviser on Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict, Ms. Pramila Patten, on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The meeting reviewed the efforts exerted by international organizations in supporting Iraq in various fields.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Omani Foreign Minister Mr. Yusuf bin Alawi. The two Ministers discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries and boost bilateral relations. Minister Alhakim stressed the depth of Iraqi-Omani relations and Baghdad’s keenness to consolidate them to achieve common interests.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Syrian Foreign Minister Mr. Walid Al-Moallem on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
Minister Alhakim affirmed the depth of Iraqi-Syrian relations, and Iraq’s adherence to elevating them to broader prospects that serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples, noting the convergence of views on the need to adopt political solutions to resolve crises and not to interfere in the affairs of other countries.

Minister Alhakim stressed that Iraq is evaluating its relations with all countries of the world according to the principle of common interests and facing common risks, expressing Baghdad’s aspiration to enhance ways of cooperation between the two countries, calling on Norwegian companies to invest in Iraq, noting: that Iraq has promising investment opportunities.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Estonian Foreign Minister Mr. Urmas Reinsalu on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
Minister Alhakim stressed Baghdad’s keenness to develop bilateral relations with Estonia in various fields, calling on the Estonian side to establish a real partnership, especially in the economic aspects,which can provide development opportunities in both countries.
