They discussed the cooperation in the war against Daesh Terrorist gang, training, the positive developments in Iraq, the Government's tendencies to promote security, stability, and the reconstruction of liberated and affected cities, as well as efforts to eliminate the remnants of Daesh in Syria.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has received, Today on Tuesday, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter Daesh Mr. Brett McGurk, deputy assistant secretary of state for Iraq and Iran Mr. Andrew Peek and the United States Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Douglas Silliman.

Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received on Thursday a telephone call from US President Donald Trump, in which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing them.

Mr. Trump congratulated the victories achieved against Daesh gangs and praised the Iraqi forces and the strong courage of Dr. Al-Abadi in leading the war on terror.
