Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein during his visit to Brussels, which is the second round of his official tour to European countries, stated that Iraq is a promising country and has the future, adding that “We are trying to make clear to neighboring countries that we want to establish balanced relations … We ask neighboring countries to respect the sovereignty of Iraq, and not to interfere in its affairs.”

This came during the hosting of the Minister by the European Press Club in the Belgian capital, Brussels.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Los Angeles has followed with great interest along with the Dallas Police Department and their Special Investigations Unit, regarding the shooting that took place on March 4th, 2015 in the city of Dallas, Texas, in which the life of Iraqi citizen Ahmed Adnan Ibrahim al-Jumaili was claimed while he was taking pictures in front of his home.

The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) hosted Prime Minister Maliki for public remarks and a discussion on U.S.-Iraq relations, and the current challenges facing Iraq and the region. USIP President Mr. Jim Marshall and Ambassador Beth Jones delivered opening remarks.

The Foreign Ministry affirms Iraq's keenness on the security of its neighbors and its refusal to use its territory to threaten the security of those countries. It rejects the violation of Iraqi sovereignty by bombing any target within Iraqi territory without prior coordination with the Iraqi authorities to spare civilians the effects of such operations.

In an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, Prime Minister Al-Abadi challenged three perceptions which are commonly held by outside observers.
