NEW YORK -- Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi met on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, with Joe Biden, Vice President of the United States.
During the meeting they emphasized the continued support for Iraq in the areas of armament, training and advice. The leaders also discussed supporting efforts to address the consequences of falling oil prices by diversifying sources of income and increasing exports, as well as building the capabilities needed for the success of the reforms.
They also discussed developments on the battlefield in the fight against Daesh terrorist gangs.
