Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim received a phone call from Dutch Foreign Minister Mr. Stef Blok. The latest developments in Iraq were discussed, in addition to various aspects of bilateral relations and ways of cooperation in various fields.
Minister Alhakim stressed the importance of achieving partnership between Iraq and the Netherlands, and continued cooperation in the sectors of training, trade and agriculture, stressing that Iraq will not be a battlefield, calling for the need to respect Iraqi sovereignty and stop violations, praising the efforts of the Netherlands within the international coalition to fight Da’esh.
On his part Dutch Foreign Minister Mr. Stef Blok expressed his country’s support for the efforts of Iraq in achieving security and stability, stressing the continuation of cooperation between the two countries to calm and prevent escalation.
