Foreign Minister Attends Funeral Service in Abu Dhabi

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim attended on behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi the funeral service set up by the UAE for the diplomat and politician Dr. Adnan Al-Pachachi.

The Minister offered condolences to the family of the deceased, expressing his deepest condolences to his family and to the Iraqi people, and recalling the honorable history of the late diplomat who was characterized by moderation.

The service was attended by former Foreign Minister Mr. Hoshyar Zebari representing the Kurdistan Regional Government, member of the Council of Representatives Foreign Relations Committee Dr. Dhafer Al-Ani, Iraq’s Ambassador to the UAE Dr. Zaid Ezzeddin, and Embassy staff in addition to Ambassadors and members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps, citizens and Emirati officials , and a large number of the Iraqi community residing in the UAE.

Minister Alhakim participated with His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, in the funeral prayer for the late deceased at the Sultan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Mosque, and then the body was buried in Al Bateen Cemetery in Abu Dhabi on Sunday 17/11/2019.
