Foreign Minister Gives a Lecture at National Defense University for Military Studies

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim gave a lecture titled (Iraqi Foreign Policy in light of the Regional and International Environment Variables) at the National Defense College at the University of Defense for Military Studies.

During the lecture Minister Alhakim affirmed that the Foreign Ministry strives very seriously to establish relations with all countries of the world in accordance with the principle of non-interference in internal affairs, and away from the bias policy.

Minister Alhakim indicated that there is a mutual effect between the internal security of Iraq and the regional and global situation; as the Foreign Ministry movement works in a manner that preserves our sovereignty, and our security from breaking referring to the state of tension in the region and the polarizations facing international relations, but Iraq rebuilt relations based on shared interests and common risks, stressing ” We have maintained respectful neighborly relations that link Iraq to the countries of the region in particular, and the countries of the world in general on a group of interests of an economic nature, in addition to an important international strategy, which is facing common risks that include terrorism

Minister Alhakim also discussed in the lecture points of interest in the field of external relations, and Iraq’s attitudes towards issues of common concern, including crises in some Arab countries, and Iranian-American tension
