Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamed A. Alhakim met in Riyadh with Saudi Foreign Minister Mr. Adel Al-Jubeir on the sidelines of the visit of President Barham Saleh to Saudi Arabia. The meeting comes to discuss and enhance bilateral relations and means of developing them between the two brotherly countries.
Minister Al-Jubeir congratulated Minister Alhakim on the occasion of assuming his duties as Foreign Minister.
The two sides discussed a number of topics that would develop relations at all levels, such as border crossings, trade and cooperation in oil, gas and other issues of mutual interest.
In addition to touching on the enhancement of political cooperation in the region to create an atmosphere conducive to development.
The two sides expressed great optimism about the future of relations between the two countries, especially after the formation of the new Iraqi government and the restoring of security and stability of Iraq and the start of the reconstruction phase
