Foreign Minister meets the Deputy of Secretary-General of the United Nations for humanitarian partnership in the Middle East and Central Asia

On the sidelines of the human rights council meetings in Geneva, the foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met on 1 arch 2017 the Deputy of Secretary-General of the United Nations for humanitarian partnership in the Middle East and Central Asia Mr. Rashid Khalikom.

During the meeting, they discussed the situations that Iraq passes through in its war against Da'esh terroristic gangs, and the humanitarian situations of the displaced people.

The minister expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the international humanitarian organizations, explaining that we look forward to continue supporting Iraq, and providing the humanitarian aids until defeating terrorism, and achieving security and settlement and rebuild the cities and return the displaced people to their residence.

From his side, the Deputy of Secretary-General of the United Nations for humanitarian partnership in the Middle East and Central Asia that we will do our best to help the Iraqi people, and following up the humanitarian situations of the displaced people, also we are in continuous connection with the humanitarian organization in Iraq, we seeks to support Iraq in all the international meetings and forums.

He added "that won't Retreat of supporting Iraq and providing aids in spite of the few financial capacities which we look forward to provide to Iraq, but we will continue working , and we are learning from our experience in Iraq and the military effort, commitment and discipline of the Iraqi forces which deserve to be praised".
