Foreign Minister Mohammad A. Alhakim received a phone call from his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, congratulating him on assuming his duties as Foreign Minister in the elected Iraqi government.
Sheikh Sabah affirmed Kuwait's support for the new government and expressed his government's readiness to cooperate constructively for the interests of both neighboring countries.
On his part, Minister Al-Hakim thanked Sheikh Al-Sabah and assured his sincere desire to develop bilateral relations between Iraq and Kuwait and to facilitate all means to achieve common interests.
