Foreign Minister Receives Phone Call from U.S. Secretary of State

Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari received on 3/5/2013 a phone call from his U.S. counterpart John Kerry.

The two sides discussed the Iraqi-U.S. relations and the importance of activating the bilateral ministerial coordination committees. Secretary Kerry officially invited the Minister to visit Washington next month.

Secretary Kerry also welcomed the understanding and agreement reached recently between the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, the return of the Kurdish Alliance's ministers and MPs to Baghdad to carry on their role in the constitutional institutions and to maintain the bilateral dialogue and enhance the national partnership and solve the problems in accordance to the law.
