We received with great pain the news of the fire that spread over the historic building of the French Notre Dame Cathedral and the collapse of its historic tower.
On behalf of the Iraqi Government, I express my sorrow for this sad incident and wish to our friend the Republic of France and its kind people good luck, stability, the safety of the historic and civilized monuments of your beautiful country.
