His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi met the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mr. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries, means of strengthening, the political and security situation in the region, combating terrorism, regional cooperation to combat terrorism, Iraqi victories against Daesh's terrorist gangs and the vision of Iraq for the future of the region based on development and security instead of differences and wars.
Mr. Al-Sisi praised the victories achieved against Daesh's terrorist gangs; He expressed his support for the unity of Iraq. He stressed that Egypt had been and still continues supporting Iraq in its war against terrorism and supports the steps taken by the Iraqi government to implementing federal authority.
The Prime Minister confirmed the importance of relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt and strengthening it in various fields to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples
He referred to ,That Iraq has put forward a vision for the future of the region, which is based on development and the extension of security rather than differences and wars, noting that the importance of combating the roots of terrorism and cooperation in the areas of reconstruction and construction
