The Iraqi Foreign Ministry regrets the statement by the United States Administration on the discontinuation of its financial assistance to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which is a major disappointment for the peace efforts sought by world's nations and humanitarian organizations to bring justice to the heroic Palestinian people, to resolve their just cause and to end the unjust violation.
The decision taken by United States administration will negatively affect the lives of more than five million Palestinians and represents a flagrant violation of all human values.
The Ministry looks forward to a responsible Arab position to address the shortfall caused by this decision, believing in the fairness of the Palestinian cause and the need to embody sentiment in the form of positions.
