by THE PRESIDENT RECEIVES THE US AMBASSADOR TO IRAQ

President Barham Salih on Monday, January 28, 2019, received Ambassador Douglas Silliman, the US Ambassador to Iraq.
Ambassador. James Jeffrey, the US Representative to the Counterterrorism Coalition and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Andrew Peek were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, they conferred about the means of enhancing bilateral relations and developing them to serve the two friendly countries. They also discussed the regional and international situations.
President Salih stressed the need to adopt a constructive and transparent dialogue to resolve the lingering issues and crises in a way that achieves stability and peace for the peoples of the region.
