Foreign Minister Participates in Arab Foreign Ministers' Meeting

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim participated in the Foreign Ministers' meeting. The meeting discussed regional developments, issues of common concern and means of cooperation in order to overcome crises to achieve security and stability and to promote joint Arab action and serve the interests of Arab countries and their peoples.

One of the most important issues that was discussed was the issue of the Golan. The Minister presented Iraq's firm stance on the Golan, which is a categorical rejection of the recognition of the sovereignty of the Zionist entity on the Golan Heights and that it is a blatant violation of international legitimacy and Security Council resolutions.
