The Foreign Ministry expresses its condolences to the Arab world in particular to the Tunisian people for the passing away of the politician Al-Shathili Al-Qalibi who spent a half of his life in the service of joint Arab action through his presidency of the League of Arab States and a working life full of giving and noble deeds for his people and his nation.
May Allah grant him mercy and may he dwell in paradise and inspire his family patience.

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq and its employees extends its most sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims of the tragic fire that occurred 24th of April 2021, at Baghdad’s Ibn AL khatib Hospital.


We ask God Almighty, during these blessed days of the holy month of Ramadan, to have mercy on the souls of the innocent martyrs, grant patience and solace for their families and loved ones, and a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured.
To Allah, we belong, and to Him, we shall return.

Every year on 8 March, the world celebrates International Women's Day, a day that means focusing on the historical struggle of women. It is a celebration of the achievements and contributions of women in society. We wish women the blessing, congratulations and wish her qualitative humanitarian achievement.

Today evening, Friday, September- 29-2017 , in accordance with cabinet decision on imposing ban on the International flight from and to Kurdistan reign till the reign handed over the authority on Sulaymaniyah and Arbil airports to the federal authority administration.

We are closely following the developments in the Kurdistan region and the attacks on the headquarters of the parties as well as the media and attempts to cause chaos and disturbances in Erbil and Dohuk, which is detrimental to our citizens in the region and the general situation there, and call for adherence to the system and law and calm, and to not let political differences affect Kurdish citizens who are victims of these practices.

45 artifacts were returned to the Iraqi Embassy in Washington by an American citizen, in an effort to give the items back to the Iraqi people.

The President stressed the need to pursue the language of constructive dialogue among all parties to achieve security and peace, and ease tension and instability in both Arab and regional arenas, and to strengthen international and regional cooperation to end extremism and defeat terrorism once and for all.
