Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received phone call from Mr. Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region.
During the call they expressed their wishes to the Minister for success in his duties, and to administer diplomatic work to achieve a steady advance in Iraq’s relations with the world, and achieve the interests of the people and their aspiration towards progress and prosperity.

His Excellency Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed, in Statement at the Popular Mobilization Units, we moving ahead to for the final battle to root out Daesh, which is trying to reorganize its remnants, the Popular Mobilization fighters are at the forefront who implement this charge alongside their brothers in the army and the rest of the armed forces.

The Foreign Ministry expresses its condolences to the Arab world in particular to the Tunisian people for the passing away of the politician Al-Shathili Al-Qalibi who spent a half of his life in the service of joint Arab action through his presidency of the League of Arab States and a working life full of giving and noble deeds for his people and his nation.
May Allah grant him mercy and may he dwell in paradise and inspire his family patience.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim participated today in the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the extraordinary ministerial level through video conferencing.
The Minister gave the speech of Iraq, stressing that the challenge facing our Arab nation and the Palestinian issue is not less dangerous than the global challenge posed by the Coronavirus,
considering that the repetition of the aggressive tendencies of the usurped Israeli entity supported by US to procrastinate legitimate and inalienable Palestinian rights.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim participated in the meeting of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level in its extraordinary session through video conference to discuss the steps and measures that can be taken in the implementation of the Israeli entity’s plan to annex the West Bank or parts of it.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim emphasised in his speech that the challenge facing our Arab nation and the Palestinian issue is not less serious than the global challenge posed by the Coronavirus.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: National institutions work collectively in the spirit of the team to achieve the required response to return Iraqis stranded in the countries of the world and not the Foreign Ministry alone.

Dr. Al-Sahaf: We are coordinating and implementing to return the stranded, and so far we have been able to return 13,000 Iraqis from 17 countries within 66 exceptional flights, and two trips by land.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to Iraqis, especially the family of the deceased political analyst Dr. Wathiq Al-Hashemi.
Considering that Dr. Al-Hashemi is a worthy patriot who left a clear trace in Iraqi reality, and a loyal patriotic legacy.

The Air Defense Command has detected a violation of Iraqi airspace which occurred through a drone plane belonging to the Turkish army. A refugee camp was bombed near the city of Makhmur, and two women’s lives were claimed from the camp on April 15, 2020. The Foreign Ministry expresses its condemnation in the strongest possible terms for these Turkish attacks which violate Iraqi sovereignty and contradicts the principles of good-neighborliness, and represents a grave violation of international humanitarian law and the provisions of the United Nations Charter.
