Iraq is currently a member of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations General Assembly from 2017 to the end of 2019, and we have had an active role in it, and we worked hard to keep the Council’s resolutions and actions from politicization.

Foreign Minister Participates in Session of the Council of League of Arab States on Ministerial Level

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim will participate in the 151st regular Session of the Council of the League of Arab States which is scheduled to take place in Cairo on the 6th of March.

It is hoped that his Excellency will meet with several of his counterparts in the framework of discussing bilateral relations and deliberating on regional and international issues of common concern.

Foreign Ministry Holds Memorial Ceremony for Martyrs of Terrorist Attack in 2009

Iraq says total oil output 4.7 million bpd; exports at record

Iraq's total oil output has reached 4.7 million barrels per day (bpd) and exports are running at a record 3.9 million bpd, the state-run Iraqi Media Network reported, citing an oil official.

The figures are for all of Iraq, including the northern Kurdistan region and Kirkuk, Deputy Oil Minister Fayadh al-Nema said, according to the website.

The increased output came from the Luhais and Artawi fields in southern Iraq, he said.
