	PRESIDENT SALIH DURING GREETING HIS PALESTINIAN COUNTERPART: A NECESSITY TO EXERT EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE THE HOPES OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE AND REALIZE THEIR FULL LEGITIMATE RIGHTS President Barham Salih received H.E. Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian President and his accompanying delegation, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad on Monday, March 4, 2019. An official welcoming ceremony was held. The national anthems of the two countries were played. The two Presidents inspected the Presidential Guards who lined up to salute them. 	Iraq Accepts Repatriation of Five Precious Antiquities by Manhattan District Attorney’s Office NEW YORK (January 18, 2022)—Iraqi Ambassador to the United States Fareed Yasseen today accepted five historic stolen artifacts for repatriation to Iraq after they had been looted over the past 30 years.
