A Statement on the ninth anniversary of the terrorist bombing targeting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations Mission in BaghdadThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq recalled on August 19 the crime of assault by the terrorist groups in 2009, in which the ministry blew up dozens of martyrs of its guards, employees and diplomatic staff, in addition to injuring hundreds of wounded, and on the same date targeted the building of the United Nations Special Mission in 2003, which killed Mr. Sergio de Mello, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, who provided much of the gift that will be preserved by the memory of the Iraqis as well as many of the staff of the International Mission. |
