Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim received a copy of the credentials of US Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Matthew Tyler. The two sides discussed ways to improve bilateral relations and the importance of enhancing cooperation opportunities at various levels to meet the aspiration of both peoples.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq announces the tender of contracting with Health Insurance Companies to cover treatment fees of our ministry's employee's missions and their families abroad, based on provisions of item (First) of article (17) of Foreign Service guidelines number (1) of 2010.

Mohamed Ali Hakim, the Permanent Representative of Iraq to the United Nations and Mansour Al-Otaibi, Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations, presented a copy of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon on June 12, 2013.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim received a phone call from the Jordanian Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Mr. Ayman Al-Safadi, and levels of joint cooperation, developments in the region were discussed in addition to the two countries’ measures to confront Coronavirus.

Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali Al-Hakim and UN Special Envoy to Syria, Mr. Geir Pedersen, discussed the latest developments in Syria and ways to resolve the crisis.

Minister Alhakim stressed during the meeting held on the sidelines of the Davos conference in Switzerland that the solution of the crisis must be by Syria and without the intervention of any foreign party, adding that Iraq supports the efforts of the UN Special Envoy to Syria and his capabilities to achieve positive results, and stated that the United Nations must take its role in ending conflicts and helping people... Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein delivered the speech of the Republic of Iraq at the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers held on 15 June 2021 in Doha, in which he emphasized Iraqi government’s efforts to prepare for a meeting aiming at alleviating the situation in the region, which would positively effect the internal situaion in Iraq, with the participation of all neighboring countries, Arab and Islamic countries, in addition to the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Foreign Minister Mohamed A. Al-hakim received on Thursday 25/10/2018 a telephone call from Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Mr. Safadi congratulated the minister on the occasion of assuming the duties of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, expressing his hope for further efforts to consolidate the ties of friendship and brotherhood and to strengthen the cooperation relations between the two countries.
