Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Dr. Rola Dashti, Executive Secretary of ESCWA. The two sides discussed the importance of cooperation between the ESCWA and Iraq in an effective manner, working to provide opportunities for economic well-being and social development, and enhancing cooperation among member countries to achieve regional integration in the UN reform project.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Dutch Minister of Migration Ms. Ankie Broekers. During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of cooperation between the Migration Ministries of both countries. Minister Alhakim expressed Baghdad’s keenness to seek opportunities to exchange common interests between the two friendly peoples in the field of capacity building, skills, knowledge , border management, development of port control staff, authentication of travel documents, and the adoption of advanced and modern techniques in this regard.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met with the European Union's Counter-Terrorism Coordinator Mr. Gilles de Kerchove on the sidelines of the fifth EU-LAS ministerial meeting in Brussels.

The meeting discussed cooperation in combating terrorism. Minister Alhakim expressed Iraq's welcome to any European efforts to help fight terrorism and reiterated that restoring stability and building infrastructure will contribute to stability and eradicate the roots and ideology of terrorism.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Mr. Jan Kubis the former Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) in Iraq.
Minister Alhakim stressed the importance of the United Nations active role in supporting and assisting Iraq in various political, security and humanitarian field, stating that the United Nations is the umbrella responsible for the protection and support of the people of the world.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Austrian Foreign Minister Mr. Alexander Schallenberg. The two sides discussed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields.

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with his Dutch counterpart Mr. Stef Blok and several officials and diplomats in The Hague on Monday evening, 26/10/2020. And they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the interest of the two friendly peoples.

Minister Fuad Hussein thanked his Dutch counterpart for the generous invitation, and gave a brief presentation of the developments in the situation in Iraq, and the government’s efforts to address the many challenges, including those related to the Corona virus pandemic and its economic... Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Lebanese Foreign Minister Mr. Gebran Bassil. The two Ministers discussed bilateral relations between Baghdad and Beirut and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met with Lebanese Prime Minister Mr. Saad Al-Hariri in Beirut, and discussed bilateral relations and means of developing them to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries and discussed efforts to accelerate the formation of the government in Iraq and Lebanon In addition to discussing the developments on Arab, regional and international levels.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Mr. Robert Oliphant, member of the Canadian House of Commons . The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation between the Iraqi Council of Representatives and Canadian House of Commons.
Minister Alhakim stressed the keenness of Iraq to advance and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, calling on Canadian companies to invest in Iraq, especially in the field of reconstruction of infrastructure.
