Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim received his Omani counterpart, Mr. Yousuf bin Alawi at Baghdad International Airport.

The two sides are expected to hold bilateral talks on strengthening relations between the two countries, promoting cooperation and coordination on issues of common concern.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim arrived on Thursday, 23/5/2019, to the Norwegian capital Oslo on an official visit to participate in the International Conference ” Ending Sexual and Gender-based Violence in Humanitarian Crisis which will be held on 23-24 May .

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi met, this day in Ankara, The President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who makes an official reception at the presidential palace in which national anthem of the two Republics played, the official inspection of the honor guard were made too, and 21 projectiles fired in greeting for His Excellency's visit.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim gave Iraq’s speech at the seventh session of the Iraqi-Kuwaiti Joint Committee meeting in Kuwait. Minister Alhakim highlighted the depth of brotherly relations between Baghdad and Kuwait which is growing stronger over time, calling for consolidating solidarity, joint action, stability in the two countries, and the region in general.

President Barham Salih has exchanged congratulations with a number of Majesties, Excellencies and Highness; the leaders of brotherly and friendly Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mr. Adil Al-Jubair.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and means of strengthening them to achieve common interests , and the regional and international issues of concern to the two brotherly countries. Minister Alhakim called for the importance of concerted efforts to resolve the crises effecting the region.
