The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi met the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

‏At the beginning of the meeting, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo welcomed the Parliament Speaker and expressed his pleasure to meet him and to the development of relations and communication between Washington and Baghdad.

The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, met the US Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.

‏The meeting discussed enhancing bilateral relations, activating parliamentary friendship committees and continuing joint cooperation in all fields.

‏The meeting affirmed the openness of Iraq to the international community to proceed with reconstruction and investment by attracting international companies, including US companies, as well as providing job opportunities for citizens and eliminating unemployment.

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received a phone call from U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo,
During the call, it's confirmed the following, the legal framework for the international coalition forces work, including the US forces operating in Iraq, whose task is to combat Daesh, training of Iraqi forces and the non-establishment of foreign bases, in according with Iraqi approvals.

The Supreme Council for Combating Corruption held its sixth session chaired by His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Prime Minister welcomed the representative of the civil society organizations that concerned with combating corruption as an observer,

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim will participate in the 151st regular Session of the Council of the League of Arab States which is scheduled to take place in Cairo on the 6th of March.

It is hoped that his Excellency will meet with several of his counterparts in the framework of discussing bilateral relations and deliberating on regional and international issues of common concern.
