Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Arrives to Tehran

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein arrived in the Iranian capital Tehran Today, Wednesday, February 3, 2021, to discuss a number of joint issues and is scheduled to meet with senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran including his counterpart Mr. Muhammad Javad Zarif.

Foreign Minister Mourns the Victims of Terrorist Attack in Baghdad and Expresses Appreciation for Stances of Brotherly and Friendly Countries in Condemning Terrorism and Consoling Iraqi Government and People

Another crime is added to the record of terrorism, the one that claimed the lives of dozens of martyrs and injured many other Iraqi citizens.

We condemn the terrorist operation that took place in Baghdad today, Thursday January 21st and affirm that the Iraqi government will take all means to fight the remnants of terrorism, and is determined to continue to complete the war against its groups. President of Iraq Barham Salih congratulates President Joe Biden on his inauguration as President of the United States of America

Today, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, the President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, congratulated US President Joe Biden on the occasion of his taking the constitutional oath and assuming his official duties.
President Salih expressed his aspiration to build upon the relationship between the two countries, saying that together Iraq and the USA faced many challenges and had a common interest in confronting these, - "especially those presented by terrorism and extremism," the President noted.

Iraqi President to Yazidi Iraqis on Their Annual Holiday: Efforts to Find Missing Yazidis Must Continue, While Displaced Persons Must Be Allowed to Return, to Enjoy Peace in their Homes

On Thursday, December 17, 2020, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih, congratulated the Yazidi people on their annual ritual, the Three Day Fast of December. The meeting took place in Baghdad.
During this commemoration, President Salih also spoke again about the need to continue with domestic and international efforts to find out what had happened to the abducted Yazidi people who are still missing, as well as to continue the process of holding accountable those responsible for crimes against the Yazidi people.
