Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Ms. Sigrid Kaag as part of his visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and increase coordination in international issues of common interest, especially those related to investment in the fields of agriculture, livestock and management, water, support of private sector, and benefit from the Dutch experience in creating jobs for young people in Iraq.

The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that it is closely coordinating the return of Iraqis abroad who have traveled during the past three months.

Foreign Ministry official spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said, “The Foreign Ministry is coordinating closely of the return of Iraqis abroad who have traveled during the past three months, and as stipulated in the decisions of the Crisis Cell.”

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Swedish Foreign Affairs Minister Mrs. Margot Wallström and discussed relations between the two countries and means of enhancing bilateral cooperation to achieve the aspiration of the two friendly peoples, especially in the field of health

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call from his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah to express congratulations on his assumption of the position of Foreign Minister in the Iraqi government, he also expressed his aspiration to continue distinguished bilateral relations to meet the wishes of the two brotherly peoples, and the importance of raising the prospects of bilateral cooperation in a way that benefits both countries. Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah also invited Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein to visit the State of Kuwait.

President Barham Saleh accompanied by Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim attended the meeting with Prime Minister of Finland Mr. Juha Sipilä, in the presence of the Ministers of Trade and Culture on the sidelines of the LAS-European Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, economic cooperation and reconstruction, especially in the field of infrastructure and mutual support in international issues of common concern.

The Foreign Ministry expresses its rejection and condemnation of the violation of the sovereignty of Iraq by the US forces through the bombing of the headquarters of the Military , police, and the Popular Mobilization Forces which are Iraqi national forces that defended Iraq and its unity and have fought valiantly, and stopped the expansion of Da’esh to the countries of the region, and the world.

Foreign Minister Mohamed Alhakim stressed the need for Arab countries to fulfill their commitments in accordance with the decisions of the Iraq Reconstruction Conference held in Kuwait last year, and called on the Arab countries and the international community to provide the necessary funding for the implementation of projects related to the development of East Quds in Palestine and to protect it from Israel's attempts to change the demographics of the Holy City
