Iraqi Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met with Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, and reviewed the overall political situation in the Iraqi arena and efforts to form a government.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening the role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in supporting Iraq in various fields and to work on all that would establish the foundations of security and stability in the region.
