U.S. CENTCOM Commander General Joseph Votel congratulated the Iraqi forces for the liberation of Mosul, Praising iraqi forces courage in fighting this battle, which he described as typical of all its military and humanitarian dimensions ,
praising the leadership of Dr. Al-Abadi for the liberation operations, stressing the commitment of the United States to provide support to accomplish the liberation of the remaining Iraqi territory.
