During her visit to Washington DC at the invitation of the US State Department to attend the annual event of International Women of Courage Awards as she was one of the award’s winners last year 2022, H.E. Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, visited the headquarters of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington DC and met with the embassy’s staff to discuss the importance of the award and what it means for Iraq and Iraqi women specifically. In addition, the economic and financial situation in Iraq was discussed and the importance of strengthening international cooperation was emphasized.
