In light of the Iraqi government's efforts to protect and preserve Iraq's cultural and historical heritage, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington calls upon all Iraqis and friends to contribute to these efforts by handing over any Iraqi visual works (archaeological & cultural artifacts) whether original or replica, they may possess.
This call reaffirms the importance of our national heritage as an integral part of our cultural and historical identity, which requires all of us to work together to protect and preserve it.

Students were part of the Dialogue Institute program, “Study of the U.S. Institute on Religious Pluralism.” Students met with staff and learned more about the Embassy’s role in the U.S.

Ambassador Faily met with government officials, academics and business leaders at IISS to discuss US-Iraq security cooperation in light of regional transformations.

WASHINGTON, D.C. May 21 — Iraq’s Ambassador to the United States, Lukman Faily (@FailyLukman), responded to questions during his seventh Twitter Q&A, a platform he frequently uses to engage journalists and others in the international community to answer questions on developments in his country. President Salih received today in Baghdad Member of the British House of Lords and Executive Head of the Iraqi-British Trade Council, Baroness Ema Nichelson.
Together, the President and the Baroness discussed the international support to boost security and stability across the country. Furthermore, they reviewed political developments at the region and the world as well.

The Mayor of Irvine and Iraqi Consul General also spoke at the event, thanking the Iraqi community for their role in the Los Angeles area and called for tolerance during the holy month of Ramadan.
