THE PRESIDENT, MEETING WITH TURKEY'S FOREIGN MINISTER, DISCUSSES THE RECENT EVENTS UNFOLDING IN THE REGION

Into the Presidential Palace in Baghdad today, holding a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, President Salih stressed the importance of continuous coordination and joint work which would avert Iraq and the region the conflicts and the war. We don't want our territory to be a staging post for any hostile action against any of our neighbors, or be as a battleground for a proxy-war, he added.

As a part of the Around the World Embassy Tour D.C. on May 6, 2023, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington opened its doors to the public and received over 8,281 visitors. The guests were welcomed with Iraqi music, art, and various traditional foods as they were presented with Iraq's heritage and culture to indulge in and enjoy.

H.E. Prime Minister Dr.Haider Al-Abadi receives a phone call from U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr.Haider Al-Abadi has received a phone call from U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

During the meeting, they have discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation in various economic, service and security fields, as well as the unity, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq

The coordination of efforts to eliminate the Daesh remnant in Syrian territory near the Iraqi border was also discussed.

In an effort to streamline the visa application process, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington announces the launch of its e-visa service. This new service eliminates the need for an embassy visit; applicants can simply apply by visiting the following link: https://evisa.iq . The e-visa is available for single or multiple entries into Iraq.

President Salih Meets Bulgarian President, Discusses Bilateral Ties

His Excellency President Salih received Bulgarian President Rumen Radev today in New York City on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The two presidents discussed Iraqi-Bulgarian ties, as well as ways to improve mutual cooperation in a variety of fields. The two friendly nations, they agreed, can work together on a variety of international as well as regional issues of common concern.

His Excellency Prime Minister the commander of the armed forces Dr. Haider Abadi has confirmed the importance of not politicizing the Popular Mobilization Units, Indicating that the stories of sacrifice done by heroes of the Popular Mobilization Units and security forces must be documented.
