The Deputy Chair of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Washington DC and the Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa signed, at the headquarters of the Bank in Washington DC, on Tuesday 20th December, 2016 two loans, first of which is at the value of ( $ 1 billion , 443, 820,000 ) to support the Iraqi investment policy, and the second is at the value of ( $ 41 million , 500, 000) to finance public projects.

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington organized a cultural event on January 31, 2024, hosting a group of members of the organization (THIS), which includes foreign diplomats and diplomats' spouses residing in Washington. The President hosted a meeting today at the al-Salam Palace on meeting protestors Demands.
In addition to President Salih, Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi, Speaker of parliament Mohammed al-Halbouosi, and Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Fa'iq Zidan attended the meeting.
All meeting participates discussed the current political and security situations across the country, asserted the importance of setting a deadline for meeting protestors' legitimate demands regarding the reforms and combating of corruption.

The Joint Coordination Committee on Energy between the US and Iraq met in Baghdad to discuss Iraq’s future energy development and the formation of a new working group to protect Iraq’s energy infrastructure.
