Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with his Egyptian counterpart Mr. Sameh Shoukry on the sidelines of the League of Arab States 152nd ordinary session at the ministerial level.
Minister Alhakim expressed Iraq’s pride in the historical and strategic relations linking Baghdad and Cairo in its political, economic, security and cultural dimensions.

"Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the terrorist attack in the city of Manchester. The ministry reaffirms Iraq's solidarity with the United Kingdom against all terrorist gangs and organisations that targets the safety and security of its people. The ministry extends its deepest condolences to the families of victims, hoping a speedy recovery of the wounded.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met with the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, Mr. Vladimir Vornikov and Mrs. Michèle Coninsx Executive Director of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate on the margins of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York and discussed the overall political and security situation in Iraq, and the international support provided for Iraq in the fight against terrorism.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met with UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Mr. Filippo Grandi in Geneva on the sidelines of the 40th session of the Human Rights Council.

The meeting discussed the humanitarian situation in Iraq and stressed the need of Iraq for the efforts of the United Nations and humanitarian organizations because the legacy of the war on terror was very strong on the Iraqis and called for the importance of expanding the work of the UNHCR and providing more necessary supplies for displaced families , expressing thanks and appreciation for the efforts... on Saturday, 9/10/2021, the Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein arrived in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, to participate in the meeting of the States of the Non-Aligned Movement, which will be held to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the first conference of the founding of the Movement, which will be hosted by the Republic of Serbia for the period from 11-12/10/2021.

The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that it is closely coordinating the return of Iraqis abroad who have traveled during the past three months.
