His Excellency Prime Minister Dr.Haider Al-Abadi met, today in his office, United States Secretary of Defense James Mattis and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed strengthening the collaboration between the two countries in the field of training and arming, as well as war on terrorism, victories achieved against the Daesh by Iraqi Armed Forces.

His Excellency prime minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received a phone call from Vice President of the United States Mike Pence.

They discussed Mosul's battle operation , Triumphs achieved , International support to iraq in fighting terrorism and regional issues.

The Vice President of the United States Mike Pence affirmed that United States policy in the region never change , our priority is to defeat Daesh in iraq and the region, clarified the Iraqi support is going to be increased in fighting terrorism, Training and Arming Iraqi forces.

During the meeting, they have discussed the development of relations between the two countries and the results of the meetings of the High Coordination Committee to activate the strategic framework agreement between Iraq and the United States of America.

Based on the brotherly and historical relations established between the Republic of Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to strengthening the bonds of joint cooperation between the two fraternal countries, a meeting held in Baghdad on Saturday chaired by His Excellency Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Adil Abd Al-Mahdi, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Omar Razzaz and his accompanying large ministerial delegation in the presence of ambassadors of the two countries.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi receives the Regional Director of the World Bank

The Regional Director of the World Bank congratulated Dr. Al-Abadi on the victories and the liberation of Mosul, stressing the readiness of the World Bank to assist and support the efforts of the Iraqi government and its plans for economic reform and the advancement of reconstruction projects and development of Iraqi cities

During the meeting, they have discussed strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the political situation, the importance of continuing efforts to fight terrorism, its ideas and support Iraq in the field of stability.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has received The United States Institute of Peace's delegation headed by the Institute's president Nancy Lindborg.
The delegation has commended the victories achieved against Daesh's and liberation of the land of Iraq from terrorism, as well as the Government's plan to repatriate large numbers of IDP's to their liberated areas, indicating that it was an important achievement that we did not expect to be done in that flexible manner.

Confirmed on the importance of Iraqi-US relations, especially in the field of war against Daesh terrorist gang as well as cooperation in the field of energy and economy, Pointing out that Iraq is a democratic country witnessing remarkable development and keen on the stability of the region and the establishment of normal relations with Arab, friendly countries and all neighboring countries.
