His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi welcomed the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Hassan Rouhani and his accompanying delegation, He expressed his inspiration that the visit will contribute to the development of Mutual relations between the two countries and the two neighboring peoples in all fields, enhancing security, stability, and prosperity for all peoples of the region.
His Excellency Prime Minister and the Iranian President chaired the joint talks' meeting which began in Baghdad this evening in with attendance of the ministers and officials from the two delegations, they discussed to continue cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, strengthening of security and stability, they seek cooperation in the economic, trade fields and many of the joint files, especially oil, agriculture, reconstruction, investment, health, transport, industrial zones and border crossings.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of foreign affairs, interior, industry and mines and the governor of the Central Bank of Iran, The meeting was also attended by number of Under Secretary of several ministries and the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad, as well as senior officials and advisers.
The meeting was attended by the Iraqi Ministers of Oil, Foreign Affairs, Construction, Housing, Trade, Industry, Minerals and Transport, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Ambassador of Iraq to the Islamic Republic of Iran and a number of, number of Under Secretary, advisors and officials in the Iraqi government.
His Excellency Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his accompanying delegation immediately after his arrival at the government palace on Monday afternoon, during which the Iraqi and Iranian republics National anthem played, inspecting the honor guards and the various types of Iraqi armed forces.
