President Salih visited with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings today.
His Excellency was pleased to hear about the Emir’s excellent health and Kuwait’s progress on a number of fronts.
The President wished His Highness good health and wellness, and extended a message to all Kuwaitis, wishing them progress and prosperity.
President Salih expressed Iraq's strong interest in regional stability so as to allow for the advancement of economic progress for all.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed Ali al-Hakim, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Mohammed Hussein Bahr al-Ulum, Iraq's permanent representative to the United Nations.
