President Salih met today with the Prime Minister of Italy, Mr. Giuseppe Conte. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
President Salih said that Iraq seeks to establish productive and mutually beneficial relations with Italy and the European Union.
The President strongly emphasized the importance of continuing coordination between the two countries on a variety of issues to contribute to peace and stability in the region.
